Every catholic church holds paintings or statues that depict the sequence of stations or steps between Jesus' persecution and His crucifixion and entombment. The object of these Stations is to help the faithful to make a spiritual pilgrimage of prayer, through meditating upon the chief scenes of Christ's sufferings and death. It has become one of the most popular devotions for Roman Catholics, usually held on friday in anticipation on 'Good Friday', the day we remember Jesus' crucifixion.

International Catholic Mass

Every Sunday at 12.30 am there is an English mass at the Johannes de Doper church in Wageningen.

The Dutch catholic community enjoys the participation of a growing number of international students and parishioners during the celebrations. They understand though, that it's nice to frequently be part of a celebration where you can fully understand the prayers, lectures and sermons. For that reason there is a regular opportunity to celebrate an international mass. Come join us in prayer and singing!

During the week

- Every Tuesday-evening at 7.00 pm English mass in the small chapel of the church (before Sacrament of Confession, afterwards Adoration).
- Every Wednesday-morning at 9.00 am Dutch mass or celebration of Word and Communion.
- Every Thursday-evening at 6.30 am Dutch mass in the small chapel of the church.
- Every Friday-morning at 8.30 am English mass in the small chapel of the church.

Occasionally a mass is delayed or cancelled due to father Henri ten Have's agenda. Nevertheless, usually you are welcome to join. If you like to be sure, you can always email and ask Rosío Miranda the day before:
